As the course responsible, you use more tools than the students: the builder, the help chat, the test rooms, the surveys, the notes for feedback and debrief, and the export. Here you can see where what you write and upload goes. What happens to the students’ data is explained on the page for students.
Claude from Anthropic is used only in the builder and the help chat, with what you write and upload yourself. An automatic check in the code stops any change that connects Claude to student data.
The conversations in the sessions, your tests and the notes for feedback and debrief all use Mistral’s EU endpoint, under an agreement that the conversations are not stored.
The website and the database run at Upsun in France, and files and email go through Scaleway in Paris.
With Feide, we receive your name, email and institution from Sikt. Without Feide, the password is stored only as a cryptographic hash.
Filled points are places where something is stored. The rings process data along the way, but store nothing for us. The badge shows whether it concerns you or the students.
You log in with Feide or with email and password. With Feide, we receive your name, email address and which institution you belong to, from Sikt in Norway. The password is stored only as a cryptographic hash.
Email about the account — confirmation, forgotten password and changed address — is sent through Scaleway in Paris.
We keep a record of how much the AI and speech services are used, per institution: the domain of your confirmed email address (for example nmbu.no), which part of the tool, and the number of tokens, characters or images. Not who you are, and not what was written or said. This is the basis for licences and invoicing.
Images and video for the screens in the room go straight from your browser to a private file storage at Scaleway in Paris. They can only be retrieved through us, by you and by the participants in the sessions that use them.
You choose a name and course code, whether names and student numbers are to be collected, and how much of the conversations is to be stored. The choices are fixed for the session, so the data basis does not change along the way.
The surveys you create, and the answers to them, are stored in the database. They are anonymous by default: you do not see who answered, only the session and the condition (A or B). Anonymity can only be switched off before anyone has answered. The research export includes only answers where the student has said yes to research.
Your own templates are stored on your account and are private until you share them with the organisation. Other course responsibles with a confirmed email on the same domain, for example nmbu.no, can then see and use the template, with your name. Addresses at free services such as gmail.com cannot share. The templates are deleted together with your account.
The export files are downloaded to your machine. Names and student numbers follow the display you have chosen for the session, and transcripts for research include only those who have consented.
The services used when you create, test and follow up simulations.
